This week, we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Simpsons’ fifth season by diving into the episode “The Great Misunderstanding.”

While the episode’s title, The Great Moths Disastrous Return, was a nod to The Simpsons creator, Joss (who had just returned from working on the show), its plot centered around a man who had become obsessed with the idea of a new dinosaur.

In the episode, the man’s dog tries to help him by feeding him a giant meal of chicken wings, but it goes horribly wrong.

The dog, however, also turns out to be a giant insect, and the man is left to try and explain the entire misunderstanding to the entire world.

In a way, this episode is a perfect encapsulation of the entire Simpsons franchise.

When the Simpsons first aired in 1994, they weren’t known for their clever storytelling or their use of humor, but they did a fantastic job of making you laugh, so it’s hard to believe that this episode would ever have gone off the air.

It’s a testament to the show’s greatness that it’s still remembered so fondly by so many.
